His Grace Bishop THOMAS and the Eastern Dioceses have announced this year’s virtual Fall Retreat will take place November 12-15. The retreat will focus on the work of evangelization of Orthodox Christians and will contain talks that benefit all Orthodox Christians, as well as those who may be interested in learning more about Orthodox Christianity.
First, the retreat weekend opens with a talk on evangelism from Father Turbo Qualls on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm. A DMC meeting will follow his talk. Then, on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. we will have to concurrent sessions:
- Father Joshua Makoul will give a SOYO presentation, followed by a meeting
- Another speaker (TBD) will deliver a YAM presentation, followed by a meeting
Saturday begins with a streamed Akathist service at 9:00 a.m. Afterward, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., there will be an AWE presentation and meeting (speaker TBD). To close out the day, another presentation will be given from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. (speaker TBD).
To close out the retreat on Sunday November 15th, His Grace Bishop JOHN (Abdalah) of the Antiochian Archdiocese, Father David Alexander, and Father Isaiah Gillette will host a general session on healing. A parish council and leadership meeting will follow.
